Lenovo A6000 4G budget smartphone review

Lenovo A6000 is the India's cheapest 4g LTE device till now available at Rs.6999 which packs in a lot of features giving competition to phones like Asus zenfone 4, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Huwaei Honor Holly.  So let's take a look that is it worth to buy.

DESIGN

The design of the phone is much like other android phones available in this price. It has the rounded corners and the plastic shell at the back combines in rectangular form as like Redmi 1s. The back panel of the phone is available in diffrent color like red, white or black. The phone is very light weight and makes it easy to carry. In other words you can say that the phone has very utilitarian design. The exact dimensions of the phone are 141 x 70 x 8.2 mm (5.55 x 2.76 x 0.32 in) weighs 128gm. The phone sports a 5" IPS HD (720x1280) display lacks gorilla glass protection but offers good viewing angles and vibrant colors. In direct sunlight the display is clear to enough to read the text. The touch was also fairly responsive.

PERFORMANCE

The dual-sim phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor coupled with 1GB of ram driven by Adreno 306 graphics running Android 4.4 Kitkat customized by Lenovo's own UI skin out of the box. The phone comes with 8GB of internal storage which expandable upto 32GB via SD Card. As I tell before, the phone supports 4G LTe connectivity with support for both FDD 1800MHz and TDD 2300MHz. Other connectivity features are like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, FM Radio and USB 2.0 which doesn't supports On-the-Go drives. The phone packs a 2300mAh of battery which last for 10-11hrs on normal usage.

CAMERA

Lenovo A6000 sports an 8MP of rear camera with a led flash features Auto-Focus, Geo-Tagging, Face detection, Auto HDR, Panorma and Timer capable of shooting 720p videos. The phone captures decent quality pictures in a day light with good contrast and accurate color reproduction but in low light the image quality is not so good. The 2MP front camera is good for capturing selfies and video calls. Check some camera samples below

CONCLUSION

Overall the phone is good at the price tag RS.6999 offering excellent features to price ratio but not as such rich features like Redmi 1s which offer better camera, backlight keys and full HD recording but also keep in mind that 1S is no longer avaliable. The phone is still a well rounded budget smartphone offers faster internet connectivity. Lenovo A6000 is only available through weekly sales at Flipkart and you have to register for it first to get your hands on it.
