Google to launch two Nexus handsets in the year 2015: LG and Huawei will be in charge

California based company Google is reportedly using a different playbook for its Nexus 2015 project and all the android fans can very well expect the rollout of two versions later this year. The device will likely debut with the Android L replacement, known for now as Android M.

According to news from BGR,  Google will unpack two new models this year rather than giant Nexus 6 in 2014. One variant is said to sport a 5.2-inch screen profile that obviously is a downscale but this will be likely appeal to a great number of Nexus fans that were turned off by the super-sized Nexus 6, they'll love it. For this model, LG is Google’s hardware partner.

Another variant will be the phablet-size Nexus phone BGR reported, noting that its information was courtesy of Android blogger Artem Russakovskii. He claimed in a blog post that for the larger Nexus Huawei of China will be in charge. The manufacturer is tasked to produce a 5.7-inch version.

Notably, the report highlighted the probability that Google will unleash two Nexus models in one rollout move. Google is colliding head-on with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that Apple had unpacked in late 2014. The two devices are expected to be refreshed later this 2015, most likely mirroring the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen profiles seen last year.

There are rumours that Google to rely on two familiar names LG from South Korea and Huawei. LG is no stranger to the Nexus world as the company had previously built the Nexus 4 and 5 in 2012 and 2013, respectively. For the smaller Nexus 2015, the Korean firm is supposed to repurpose its current flagship, the LG G4, and port the majority of its specs and features into a pure Android device.

As for Huawei, the giant Chinese firm is expected to mostly replicate what the smaller Nexus phone will serve. But according to Gizmo China, two things will make the Huawei Nexus quite distinct from LG’s take. The phone will have an OLED display panel that Samsung will supply and its main engine is the Snapdragon 810 chip, while the LG Nexus will likely be fired up by the Snapdragon 808, the report added.

Both the new Nexus phones will surely be runs on Android M. Here are all rumours, release date and features speculation

Xiaomi Mi Bands to feature One-Touch Mobile Payments

Smartphone maker Xiaomi and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd's finance arm said on Thursday that they will jointly develop mobile payment systems using wearable technology aka Xiaomi Mi Band.

Xiaomi and an Alibaba affiliate which includes China's most popular online payment service Alipay, will enable the Alipay Wallet mobile app to link with Xiaomi's Mi Band smart fitness bracelet. That will let users smooth the process of making payments, bypassing the need for passwords.

The Alipay-Mi Band link will be made available on the current version of Alipay Wallet for Google's Android mobile OS, which runs on handsets including those of Xiaomi. The company also said the next version will be compatible with Apple Inc's iOS.

The encrypted link will avoid potential security difficulties s of near-field communications (NFC) technology, which has been criticised for potential vulnerability to theft and cyber attacks. Apple will use NFC to allow users to make payments on its Apple Watch, to be released this month, rather than on a phone.
