Last month the South Korean Giant- Samsung launched it's new series of smartphones likely to be called Galaxy E. But due to tough competition from other Indian and Chinese smartphone makers Samsung decided to slashed the price of Galaxy E5 & E7 in just weeks. The Galaxy E5 was launched at a price of Rs.19,300 which has been reduced to Rs.17,900 and the Galaxy E7, which was priced at Rs.23,000, is now available for Rs.20,900.
The phones have below avergae hardware according to the price. Companies like Xiaomi, Micromax and OnePlus have much better offerings than the Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 at similar prices.
The Galaxy E5 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and is packed by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. Other features are 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB internal storage, microSD card support, and is backed up by a 2,400mAh battery.
The Galaxy E7 sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and is also powered by a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. On the camera side the phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera. This phone comes with 16GB of internal storage and also supports expansion through a microSD slot, the phone is powered by a 2,950mAh battery.
Both the phones lacked 4G Lte connectivity.
The new prices are official which means the phones can be bought at an even lower price from different retailers. The new price will come in effect soon.
