According to report from DigiTimes, Apple will launch three new iPhone models this year- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the return of 4 inch screen device referred to as iPhone 6c.
Industry sources reports that Apple is likely to partner with the Taiwan based company Wistron to produce iPhone 6c which is dubbed version of low end poly-carbonate bodied iPhone 5c while Foxconn and Pegatron manufacture high-volume 6S. The affordable 4 inch iPhone 6c will run on current A8 chip and is believed to cost between $400-$500. Apple is hoping to sell 10 to 20 million units in the first month of its release.
All the iPhone models will get NFC, Touch ID fingerprint recognition and low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) panels covered with Gorilla Glass. The updates to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be powered by unknown A9 chip.
According to another report Apple may use new camera technology which will use a two-lens system. The dual lens will help the iPhone capture more light, resulting in better photos. It will also add optical zoom capability to the camera, which also gives better photos compared to digital zoom cameras.
If this latest report is true then we could see three new iPhones released in 2015. The idea of iPhoen 6c also gives hope to iPhone fans who want a lastest and faster device but not at the cost of device size.
