Domestic smartphone manufacturer Micromax has launched a new 7-inch budget Android calling tablet- Canvas Tab P480 at Rs 6,999. The tablet will be available starting last week of April in blue and white colors.
The new P480 sports a 7-inch (1024x600p) IPS display and powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core chip backed by 1GB of RAM.The budget table comes with 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB capacity. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
The tablet features a 5MP rear camera (support for 720p video capture) with Led flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. It packs a 3000mAh battery and the company claims the tablet will offer up to 9 hours talk time and 169 hours of standby time on 2G. In terms of connectivity, Canvas Tab P470 supports 3G for both voice calling and data (dual-sim), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The tablet comes pre-loaded with apps such as Hello TV, Quicklook, and Truecaller in addition to Micromax's own app and content stores.
