California based Intel and Taiwan-headquartered WPG Holdings have launched NuPC, an extremely portable PC powered by the Intel Core i3 or the Intel Celeron processor.
The compact PC, based on Intel NUC, is targeted at business as well as home consumers and can be used in kiosks or for digital signage displays and other spaces in which a small computer is required. The PCs are assembled in India.
The NuPC takes up a 4x4-inch (117x112mm) footprint on a desk and is 35mm thick.Powered by Intel Core i3 processor backed by 2GB/4GB of RAM with 500GB/1TB storage variants priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively. The PC features Intel HD Audio 1, two USB 3.0 ports at the front, two USB 3.0 ports at the back and two USB 2.0 ports.
The Intel Celeron-powered NuPC comes in 2GB RAM, 500GB storage and 4GB RAM, 1TB storage variants priced at Rs 18,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively. It features a single USB 3.0 port at the front and two USB 2.0 ports at the back.
The NuPc runs Windows 8.1 with Bing.
